You guys sound and look like you are having a BLAST! Wow. THANK YOU for sending pictures. I live for pictures!! I am printing them and putting them on my wall of wonder (picture wall). You don't realize how much goes on back home until you read it in an email! I am glad you got your Birthday card. I laughed so hard at that card. "I wanna wanna help you eat your cake" was my favorite part. I know how much you love the singing cards Mom...haha.
Well we had exchanges this past week....That seems like a month ago! In a totally good way. Time is flying by. But the days are long. I can't really explain it. But exchanges were great! I came back with a renewed sense to try harder and be happier with what I am given, the people I have to teach, and the love I have for the people of Washington. It was a really good experience. I learned a lot. Its good to see how other Sisters do it, and take things from them that you can apply, but appreciate the way you and your comp work together as well! I look forward to next transfers exchanges. I exchanged with Sister Zundel. She is soooo cute. She has been out a little over one year. So she has this DOWN! She is cute. And I discovered before I came out I checked out her blog to try to find more out about the mission. So ya that was pretty funny.
Washington is staying at kind of a plateau. But I don't feel like we are not trying our hardest. The numbers truly do not match our efforts. Sister Martinez and I have asked ourselves a question that really has helped me to feel at peace with what I am doing. We asked if Jesus Christ were here in this area, what would he have done with this day? And I truly feel like we are doing what Christ would do. We try to find those who will let us in. We talk with everyone. We carry a smile on our faces, and we are happy. I couldn't be happier! These people just need kindness, love, and happiness shown to them. I have come to know what people mean when they say "Just talk to everyone" this week. It has been a good week. I don't feel like I am failing as a missionary, although some might look at our numbers and think we are. I feel good with what is happening in Washington, it is a slow progression for them all. This area just needs to know we love and care. They need to know we don't just want to preach to them, but we want to show them the path to eternal life, because we love them.
I love this work. I love that I grow closer to my Savior everyday I am out here. He is amazing. He cares so much for me and my well being while he also cares for everyone else in the world! Family and friends, I need you to watch the bible video this week on lds.org. I need you too. It is amazing. I wish I had an Ipad so I could show members, investigators, and the world. It was so real. It felt so real, I don't know if I have ever related the atonement of Jesus Christ to my life as much as I did in the 3 minutes I watched that video. I am a super visual person though. So I guess to each is own. There is so much power in that video though. Here I will give you the link. I cannot stress the importance of watching that video!!

Another talk that I loved from General conference is Elder Holland's when he spoke of Jesus Christ and how he was SO bold. He stepped on peoples toes because he knew what they needed to hear. Jesus Christ is our perfect example. I don't know if I have ever felt the importance of learning and following his example more in my life than now. Developing Christlike attributes, learning more of him and his life should be something we constantly want to do, and should do each day. There is nothing more important. Because as we learn of Christ, and truly understand him, we will want nothing more than to help others know of him, and come closer to him.
